Terms & Conditions

1. Hotels
Hotel categories are rated by the local government authorities and based on international standard. In the event of non-availability of a specified hotel a substitute or similar category hotel, may be used.


2. Cruises
Ship and Cruise Companies maintain the right to make changes on all cruise itineraries, rates and ships are subject to change by each cruise company without prior notice.


3. Rates
All posted rates are subject to change, which may be attributed to increases imposed by hotels / tours / cruise operators, currency fluctuation and/or fuel surcharges.


4. Requests

All requests are subject to availability and confirmation. When requesting reservation, please include:
a. Passenger or Group Name
b. Dates of service
c. Hotel category
d. Exact services requested
e. Arrival dates and flight details


5. Sequence of Itinerary
Sequence of events and places to be visited may change from the order shown due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.


6. Deposits & Final Payment
According to the policy of Orama Travel a 50% deposit is required to secure the reservation and the balance at the latest 30 days prior to arrival*.

For bookings received less than 30 days prior to arrival full payment is required to secure the reservation. If cost of services is less than EUR 500 full payment is required to secure the reservation.

Orama Travel accepts payment ONLY by the following methods:

a. BANK SWIFT payable to PIRAEUS BANK,

b. CREDIT CARD

PERSONAL CHECKS NOT ACCEPTED
In accordance with the Greek Government regulations, payments must be made in any currency by bank transfer or bank check.

* For reservations, which include hotels requiring full prepayment at the time of booking, a different policy applies. Our Agent will inform you accordingly for the payment and cancellation policy of your reservation.


7. Not Included in the Tour Price
International Airfares (unless indicated), passport and visa fees, laundry services, phone calls, beverages, meals not indicated in the itinerary, all gratuities of any kind (which are at your discretion), items of a personal nature, excess baggage and baggage handling, optional tours and shore excursions.


8. Changes/Revisions
Once deposit payment has been received a charge of Eur.40 will be imposed for any change / revision thereafter.


9. Cancellations/Refunds*
All cancellation requests must be in writing, and are in effect (24) hours after the date they reach our office. In the event that a booking cancellation is requested after the deposit has been paid, the cancellation fees will be charged according to the following schedule.

*Exception: In weddings, large groups of people (over 10 pax), cruises and programs including cruises or special offers, a different cancellation policy applies. Please consult us for more details.


10. Health Requirements
Any physical, or mental disability requiring special attention or treatment must be noted at time of reservation. The Tour Operator and/or its representatives reserve the right to exclude such passengers, unless prior approval for their participation has been obtained from local tour/cruise/land operators.


11. Travel Insurance
Protect your purchase. Insurance to cover cancellation charges, trip interruption, etc., is highly recommended, and is available through your Professional Travel Agent.


12. Complaints :

All complaints for any kind of service provided should be reported at once to the Orama Travel office in Athens, or to our local representing travel agency. No complaint will be accepted after client’s departure, if the event has not been reported during the client’s stay.


13. Children’s Discount
Available on some services upon request.


14. Important Note
Orama Travel will not be held responsible for, merchandise value or delivery of any items ie. souvenirs, artifacts, jewellery , carpets, pottery, art etc…which are purchased on recommendation of tour guides or other persons, throughout your holiday journey.
No refund for unused services, or for schedule or reservation changes made without prior authorization. While on tour, for any changes to services booked, participant must contact directly the local representing Agent.


15. Responsibility
Orama Travel, hereinafter called the Tour Operator, and/or its representatives act only as agents between you and local land/tour operators, hotel, cruise and transportation companies and any other related travel company associated with the booking made through the said Tour Operator. The responsibility of the Tour Operator and/or its representatives is limited.

The Tour Operator and/or its representatives will not accept any responsibility in the event of the weather conditions, strikes, damage, loss, accident, illness, delay or other irregularity due to defects in any vehicle used for transportation, or the fault or default of any local land/tour operator, hotel, cruise and transportation companies and any other related travel company including their employees, associated with the booking made through the Tour Operator.

The Tour Operator and/or its representatives are not responsible for any consular, political, or military complications created voluntarily, or involuntarily by the passenger or by any other person, or reason.

By booking any tour, hotel, cruise, transportation, vehicle, package, flight and/or any related service, you acknowledge that in any event, the Tour Operator shall not be liable for any consequential damages, and that the sole extent of the Tour Operator’s liability shall never exceed the amount actually paid by the passenger.

Any disputes that may arise from the sale and use of said programs and/or other related services, must be negotiated and settled in the city, county and country of the booking Tour Operator. The Tour Operator reserves the right to decline acceptance of any person for a tour and to change or cancel the tours, if necessary, for any reason.

The airline tickets shall, when issued, constitute the sole contract between the passenger and the airline. The airline is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event when the passenger is not on board of its aircraft.

 

Any payment received will represent your acceptance of the above stated conditions.
